17 Weeks

Dress from JcPenney

How far along? 17 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss:  4lbs. People keep asking when I am going to start getting
fat.
Maternity clothes?  No, but I feel my first purchase will be soon and it will be a new bra or two.
Stretch marks?  No, I am using my Mama Mio Belly Oil every night.
Sleep:  I haven
t been sleeping that great this week. I cant decide if it is the fact that my husband and dog take up more than their fair share of the bed or the fact that I have to get up to pee, or even the fact that crazy dreams are still waking me up.
Best moment this week: Beginning the nursery. My husband has to prime the nursery this week because it was a very, very purple little girl
s room before. We had to decide on a paint color, which was very hard as we wanted a very white, bright, neutral room. I have the drawings of the nursery down. I know exactly where I want things, from the floor to the walls to the ceiling.
Have you told family and friends:  Yes.
Miss Anything?  A TAN!!!!!!! I hate being pale. I am using this glow stuff to help the look of my skin, especially when I show it off.
Movement:  No
Food cravings: Sweets. Brownies( homemade by my honey). My husband
s homemade apple pie (which he made me tonight for no reason). Dark Chocolate. Reeses Pieces or Easter shaped peanut butter egg. Sangria. Dont have a heart attack. It is made with alcohol removed wine, Sprite Zero, Pineapple Juice, fruit slices (strawberries, cherries, oranges), and mango nectar.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Yucky stuff. My nose is super sensitive, and I have to send my husband running for new socks and foot cream... after a hard day at work or I can
t sit around him and his feet. I swear that I see those little fumes coming off of them like in those cartoons of Pepe Le Pew.
Have you started to show yet:  Not so much to others. If you didn
t know I was pregnant, I dont think you would know.
Gender prediction:  I still hope and pray for a girl. I am hoping that the cravings and the heartbeat are conclusive signs that Baby Boak is a she.
Labor Signs:  No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy. I am getting excited about finding out the gender at the end of this week/beginning of next week. I am also excited about getting the nursery ready. I will be ordering the crib soon. We have decided on a Jenny Lind in white. I almost went with a Baby
s R Us Itali Brand but it was not bright white like I want, more of a dirty ecru.
Weekly Wisdom:  Accept all acts of generosity, whether it is my mom offering to buy the crib/mattress/bedding etc., or for people to help do something in the house. There are so many things to do before the baby arrives, and people want to help. Some people, like my mom and dad, need to help. Accept it.
Looking forward to: Finding out what to call Baby Boak, a he or a she, picking out a name, and really getting fired up for the nursery.
